i am looking to get my first tattoo done. i have been looking on the net for ideas and designs and there seems to be so much garbage. can anybody help?

you won't find an original design online. if it's online, someone has it.
go to your tattoo artist, if they are good they they can custom design you something.
don't just go copying stuff online, it'll just look tacky.
You wont find an original one on the internet.
Draw/design your own, cant get much more unique than that.
I did that and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

LikeDislikeYour best bet is to have someone draw a custom tattoo for you or draw it yourself. My x-husband does tattoos in SC and he will draw just about anything you want and let you make the changes you want so that it looks like you want it to. I’m sure that other artists will do the same if you ask. Or even have a friend who can draw do it for you.

LikeDislikeYou are right about there being plenty of garbage out there. Apart from the obvioius free sites there are ones you join to get access to designs/flash, sites you just buy a single design from and pdf download ebooks which you can save on your pc.

LikeDislikeIf you want to try something original, my suggestion is to think outside the box. You can go to (non-tattoo) artist websites, or even google image search something that you are into. If you find an image you like (whether it’s just the colors or the picture itself), print it and take it to the tattoos artist. They can use it as inspiration to draw up something for you that is unique to your style.
My name is Lily, so I took a photo of a real lily flower that I thought was the most beautiful one I have ever seen to my tattoo artist and asked him to position it in a different way and make the colors just like the one in the photo and he did. I am so happy with it, and it’s nice to know there are not a bunch of people with the same tattoo as me.

obviously, if you put it on your body, because it was online as a tattoo/image
it isn’t original
honestly, your best bet is to talk to a tattoo artist and have them draw something that is actually original out for you
using ideas that you came up with on your own

LikeDislikeWhat I’d do if I was you is go talk to whatever artist you want to use for this tattoo. Maybe take in some pics of some things you like and have them draw something up for you. Unfortunately if it’s on the net it’s not original,
Another thing you can do is find something similar to something you might want and take it into the artist to have it customized. A good artist can take like four different pics and incorporate them into one design. I have mine do that all the time…LOL

LikeDislikeA tattoo and the design, in my opinion is an extremely personnel thing, getting marked on the body is not something you should do lightly. I have seen dozens of people go out, get a tattoo on a whim, and live to regret it. So it is better for you to do some research first. I have found some great resources from a website that you may want to take a look. Good luck

LikeDislikeThere are tons of sites you could look for, try this one and look under their portfolios.
But even if you do find a nice design, modify it so it’ll be unique. Tattoos are personal, and it isnt too good to copy someone else’s design.

LikeDislikeMaybe you can go with an inscription and write your own thing.
There are a lot of chinese and hebrew and aramaic translators so it will be easy enough to have something unique.
